THE 16TH ICKLESHAM CASUALS GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 16th Icklesham Casuals Golf Tournament took place at Seaford Head Golf Course on Friday, 1st September. Seaford Head was a regular venue for the Christmas Golf Event but this is the first time the annual golf competition has been held there.

Nestled atop the dramatic chalk cliffs of East Sussex, Seaford Head offers a breathtaking coastal golf experience with sweeping views of the English Channel, the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs and the rolling South Downs.

THE COMPETITORS

A field of nine players took part and the tournament was won by Andy Vickers, who lifted the trophy for the second time, previously being victorious in 2014 at the Weald of Kent Golf Course – just one point separated the top three places with Tony Forster and Steve Fuller finishing as joint runners-up.

There were two ‘nearest the pin’ awards which were won by Nick Sparks on the 10th hole and Steve Fuller on the 16th. Hugh Sullivan took the prize for the best holes 13 to 18.
