2013 Tournament

THE 6TH ICKLESHAM CASUALS GOLF TOURNAMENT

The sixth Icklesham Casuals Golf Tournament took place on a sunny Thursday afternoon on the 25th July at Wellshurst Golf and Country Club in Hellingly, also the venue for the 2009 tournament.

THE COMPETITORS

Although participants were slightly down on last year due to holidays, work commitments and injury, it was another thoroughly enjoyable event which saw George Potter triumph by one Stableford point in a very closely fought competition. Andy Vickers finished as runner-up with Keith Swallow in 3rd place.

George also took the prize for ‘nearest the pin’ on the 14th hole while Peter Drew won a similar award for the 3rd hole and Andy took the trophy for the longest drive on the 13th hole. It was good to welcome debutant Dale Glazier and thanks to Bob Baker, who won the award for worst tee shot of the day, for organising the competition.
