2013 Christmas Golf Event

CHRISTMAS GOLF 2013

On Monday, 30th December, eleven hardy members of the club braved the wet weather and strong winds to take part in the Club’s Christmas Golf Event which was held this time at Tenterden Golf Club.

THE TEAMS

The nine-hole Texas Scramble competition was won by two strokes by the pairing of Bob Baker and Keith Swallow. There was a three-way tie for second place between the teams of Ollie Beaumont and Felix Sullivan, Richard Forrest and Tim Linch and the three-man side of Mike Beaumont, David Mayne and Hugh Sullivan. The duo of Steve Beale and George Potter were in fifth place.

The winning team were awarded their prizes of a box of golf balls and a packet of festive fancies! Bob also won a bottle of mulled wine for nearest the pin on the 7th hole.

A big thank you to Bob for organising the event and also deciding the handicaps – it was a mere coincidence that he won everything!
