THE 12TH ICKLESHAM CASUALS GOLF TOURNAMENT

Chartham Park Golf and Country Club in East Grinstead hosted the 12th Icklesham Casuals Golf Tournament on Friday, 12th July. This was a new venue for the competition with twelve competitors taking part in sunny but slightly windy conditions.

THE COMPETITORS

The tournament was won by debutant Gary Weller with Keith Swallow a close runner-up. Hugh Sullivan took the prize for nearest the pin on the 17th hole and Chris Baker won the best holes 13 to 18 competition. David Mayne was forced to retire on only the 2nd hole having been suffering a problem with his elbow for a few weeks.

Again the Club was grateful to Bob Baker for his expert organisation of the event.
