Wear Yellow For Cystic Fibrosis Charity Golf Day

The Wear Yellow for Cystic Fibrosis Charity Golf Day will be held on Friday, 12th June 2026 at Chartham Park Golf and Country Club near East Grinstead.

Chartham Park is a stunning 18-hole par 72 championship course and was originally designed by 8-time Ryder Cup player Neil Coles, who oversaw its immaculate construction back in 1992.

Mature trees and beautiful views of the North Downs are a unique feature of the course which is set in picturesque parkland with water coming into play on 9 of the 18 holes providing an exciting challenge for all golfers.

The event is open to teams of two players and the cost is £75 per person which includes a bacon roll and tea and coffee on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a meal and prize-giving to finish and a donation to the fundraising.

The competition will be played on a stableford basis with ‘betterball’ on the outward nine holes and both balls counting on the back nine.

A challenging target has been set to raise £3,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The 12th June 2026 is “Wear Yellow Day” for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, an initiative to raise funds for and awareness of the disease so we would request all players wear something yellow on the day.

WHY THE CHARITY GOLF DAY IS SUPPORTING CYSTIC FIBROSIS

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition affecting over 11,000 people in the UK. You are born with cystic fibrosis and cannot catch it later in life, but one in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

People with cystic fibrosis often look healthy, but it’s a life-limiting condition that affects those living with it in many ways. The gene affected by cystic fibrosis controls the movement of salt and water in and out of cells. People with cystic fibrosis experience a build-up of thick sticky mucus in the lungs, digestive system and other organs, causing a wide range of challenging symptoms affecting the entire body.

Thanks to breakthroughs in medication, physiotherapy and other treatments, people with cystic fibrosis are living longer and healthier lives than ever before.
