WESTFIELD VETERANS 0 v ICKLESHAM CASUALS VETERANS 1
Posted on Thursday, 17th April 2025
The Veterans produced a top performance last night to deservedly beat a strong Westfield Veterans side 1-0 at the Knight and Davey Community Stadium. The winning goal being scored by Michael Georgeson. Credit to manager Stuart Adams, missing a few key players, but got his game management and team selection on point. Man of the Match was Luke Keagle.
The Veterans now lie third in the Hastings F A Veterans League on twelve points with two games remaining. Sidley United Veterans head the table on fifteen points but have completed their fixtures. FC Parker Veterans and Westfield Veterans are also in contention for the league title in what will be an exciting finish to the season.

ST LEONARDS SOCIAL II 1 v ICKLESHAM CASUALS 3
Posted on Monday, 14th April 2025
A massive 3-1 win to close the season out for the Casuals on Saturday as the side dominated for the majority of the game. A nearly perfect performance barring a dodgy penalty decision with 10 minutes to go. Keiron Buss with two and George Stoodley were the goal scorers.
A great way to look towards next season.

NEW MANAGER (OFFICIALLY!)
Posted on Saturday, 12th April 2025
At the home fixture with the Junior Club Tackleway last Saturday, Wayne Dedman officially passed over the managerial reins to Dan Rumsey,
Dan recently joined the Club from Tackleway after nearly seasons with them, securing one promotion and narrowly missing out on a league title.
Wayne will now take a more ‘behind the scenes’ role concentrating on overseeing the Club’s football operations.
The Club would like to thank Wayne for helping steer the Club back in the right direction after a few tricky seasons. His hard work has certainly not gone unnoticed by all those involved. Wayne will continue to be around on match days and at training.

ROBERTSBRIDGE UNITED II 0 v ICKLESHAM CASUALS 3
Posted on Sunday, 30th March 2025
A brilliant afternoon for the Casuals as we travelled to Robertsbridge. We looked the stronger of the two sides throughout, from minute one, to ninety. The level of intensity and quality shown from the boys is a huge credit to the Club and themselves as a team.
All the goals came in the second half with a brace from George Stoodley taking him to double figures for the season and a second goal for the Club for Steve Buss.
It became a nearly impossible job trying to decide on a Man Of The Match, but the award eventually went to Stuart Pearson. A man that embodies what it means to play and be a part of Icklesham and the Casuals. A leader week in, week out.

ICKLESHAM CASUALS 2 v ST LEONARDS SOCIAL II 3
Posted on Saturday, 22nd March 2025
It was a bad day at the office for the Casuals, as we let go of a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. A huge shame to lose the result in the fashion that we did, but massive credit to Social that fully deserved the 3 points. The goal scorers were Tom Cumber and George Stoodley.
ICKLESHAM CASUALS VETERANS 4 v SEDLESCOMBE RANGERS VETERANS 0
Posted on Sunday, 16th March 2025
Congratulations to the Veterans who made it a very good weekend by defeating Sedlescombe Rangers Veterans 4-0 at Icklesham Recreation Ground this morning to reach the final of the Hastings F A Veterans Cup.
The game was very tight early on, until the breakthrough came via a great cross into the box and then “finished” by Ali Adams (there is some dispute as to whether it was an own goal!). Then just before the end of the first half Jude MacDonald produced a great piece of skill by receiving the ball on the half turn to find himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and slotted the ball home.
The second half continued how the first half ended with the Casuals pushing forward. Then some good team play presented Val Newman with an easy finish in front of goal.
Tim Johnson finished the game off with a good strike to complete the victory.
Their opponents in the final will be Westfield Veterans.
ICKLESHAM CASUALS 7 v HASTINGS ATHLETIC II 1
Posted on Saturday, 15th March 2025
The team defeated Hastings Athletic II 7-1 in a league game at the Recreation Ground this afternoon.
An outstanding first half saw six goals scored without reply. Chris Anderson opened the scoring in the 4th minute, firing home from the edge of the area, Archie Brunt made it 2-0 on 12 minutes and Steve Buss headed home a corner for the third after 17 minutes.
A three goal burst in five minutes saw George Stoodley net the fourth goal on 28 minutes with a low shot, Chris Anderson get his second of the game two minutes later and Ryan Harffey successfully converting a penalty in the 33rd minute after he was brought down in the area.
The seventh goal did not come until the 82nd minute when Archie Brunt’s excellent shot from 25 yards found the roof of the net via the underside of the crossbar. Hastings Athletic netted a consolation goal with a penalty from their goalkeeper in the final minute.

ICKLESHAM CASUALS 2 v NORTHIAM 75 II 2
Posted on Saturday, 1st March 2025
A very good point earned today at home to second placed Northiam II thanks to Archie Brunt’s very late equalising goal.
Northiam twice led and missed a penalty with George Stoodley levelling the scores at 1-1 also from the penalty spot and Archie securing the draw with the last kick of the game.
HASTINGS ATHLETIC II 0 v ICKLESHAM CASUALS 4
Bulverhythe Recreation Ground – Saturday, 8th February 2025
Posted on Saturday, 8th February 2025
In a match switched to Bulverhythe with Icklesham Recreation Ground declared unfit for play, the team picked up their third league victory of the season with a convincing performance against Hastings Athletic II.
After the Casuals missed a couple of early chances it was Keiron Buss who opened the scoring on 22 minutes latching on to a pass from George Stoodley and Keiron doubled the lead three minutes later after being set up by Tom Cumber. George Stoodley’s shot from the edge of the area made it 3-0 in the 34th minute.
The second half was a bit scrappy with the side missing chances before debutant Archie Brunt added the fourth goal with an excellent finish into the roof of the net with ten minutes remaining.
The post and crossbar were struck, another chance for Archie was cleared off the line and the Hastings Athletic goalkeeper made a number of fine saves.
The game also saw a first appearance for Icklesham Casuals by Steve Buss.

VENUE CHANGES

Today’s game with Hastings Athletic II has been switched to pitch 2 at Bexhill Road Recreation Ground as the pitch at Icklesham is unfit for play.

HAWKHURST UNITED II 3 v ICKLESHAM CASUALS 2
Posted on Monday, 20th January 2025
The Casuals played the first game of the new year on Saturday and a chance to show off our new kit, thanks to @robinhoodicklesham for sponsoring it.
The team started very well playing some nice football and were rewarded by taking the lead from a lovely cross into the box for George Stoodley to cushion the ball into the goal with his head.
Hawkhurst then pulled it back with a great long range strike before George struck again, beating the Hawkhurst keeper to a 50/50 and slotting home into the empty net.
The second half was a different game and was very scrappy which Hawkhurst took advantage of with a couple of set pieces to head home on both occasions.
Not the best start to year but well done to Hawkhurst for taking their chances.

A POINT FOR THE 1ST TEAM AND EXCELLENT WIN FOR THE VETERANS
Posted on Tuesday, 5th November 2024
The 1st team picked up a point with a 2-2 draw away to Hastings Comets on Saturday. Zak Mansfield and Lee Pierce netted the Icklesham goals.
The veterans had an excellent victory over current league champions, Sidley United Veterans in the second round of the Hastings F A Veterans Cup on Sunday.
Sidley opened the scoring but the Casuals hit back to lead 4-1 early in the second half and held on to win 5-3. Kyle Feneron (2), Jude MacDonald (2) and Ali Adams from the penalty spot were the Icklesham scorers.
The veterans will be away to the winners of the tie between Battle Town Veterans and Sedlescombe Rangers Veterans in the semi-final which will be played next year.
ICKLESHAM CASUALS 0 v PEVENSEY AND WESTHAM 3
Posted on Monday, 14th October 2024
Having lost 8-0 away to Pevensey and Westham only two weeks ago, the sides met again on Saturday in the 1st round of the East Sussex League Macron Store Hastings Vase.
A much improved performance and a result which was not a true reflection of the game with Icklesham on the front-foot and pressing well for much of the match but could not find the final ball or their shooting boots.
Pevensey took the lead with a quick break and scramble in the box and added a second later in the half. The Casuals controlled most of the second half but again could not find the net and it was Pevensey who increased their lead and make the final score 3-0.
Despite the result it was a performance to be proud of against a very good Pevensey side who have yet to drop a point in the League.
ICKLESHAM CASUALS 3 v HAWKHURST UNITED II 3
Posted on Monday, 7th October 2024
A useful point picked up in an exciting 3-3 draw with Hawkhurst United II at home on Saturday.
Icklesham dominated the opening 20 minutes, bossing the midfield and having a few shots on goal, but were caught on the break for Hawkhurst to take the lead after which their confidence grew.
The Casuals levelled when they were awarded a penalty which Sean Baker slotted home before George Richardson put Icklesham 2-1 up following a scramble in the box. The lead did not last long with Hawkhurst scoring to make it 2-2.
A quick run down the line saw Keiron Buss assist Kelvin Lowes with a debut goal from an overhead kick but again Icklesham could not hold on to the lead and Hawkhurst netted for a final score of 3-3.
1ST TEAM AND VETERANS WIN
Posted on Monday, 16th September 2024
It was an excellent weekend for the club on the field with the first team defeating Bexhill Amateur Athletic Club III 3-1 at the Recreation Ground on Saturday and this was followed on Sunday morning when the veterans opened their campaign in the Hastings F A Veterans League with a home victory over Battle Town Veterans by the same scoreline.
After going a goal down, the 1st XI equalised through Mike Amar. Zak Mansfield netted his second league goal of the season, running from his own half to slot past the oncoming goalkeeper with Jake Hughes registering the other goal with a neat finish. A great all round team performance.
The veterans scored three times in the second half thanks to strikes from Ali Adams, Steve Bellhouse and Kyle Feneron to defeat Battle Town Veterans.
A big thank you to Wayne Dedman who stepped in at the last minute to referee the game when the appointed referee was unable to make the game.
1ST TEAM v VETERANS

The 1st team and the veterans warmed up for the new season with an exciting friendly last night which ended in a 5-5 draw.
